Abstract

Implant-supported prostheses have revolutionized oral rehabilitation by providing predictable, functional, and esthetic solutions for partially and completely edentulous patients. Advances in implant design, surface modifications, digital workflows, prosthetic materials, and surgical techniques have significantly improved treatment outcomes and long-term success rates. The success of implant-supported prostheses depends on multiple factors including osseointegration, prosthetic design, patient-related variables, maintenance protocols, and clinician expertise. This review examines the clinical outcomes, survival rates, biological and mechanical complications, patient satisfaction, and emerging innovations associated with implant-supported prostheses. Current evidence demonstrates high long-term success and survival rates with significant improvements in oral function, esthetics, and quality of life. Future developments involving artificial intelligence, digital dentistry, CAD/CAM technologies, and personalized implant therapy are expected to further enhance clinical outcomes and patient-centered care.
