Numerous medical conditions including diabetes mellitus, hematological disorders, autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine abnormalities, infectious diseases, and nutritional deficiencies manifest characteristic oral lesions and abnormalities. Early recognition of these manifestations by dental professionals can facilitate timely diagnosis, referral, and management of systemic illnesses. This review examines the relationship between systemic diseases and their oral manifestations, emphasizing diagnostic significance, pathophysiological mechanisms, and clinical implications.
